Product Manager

Office Location:  West London (UK)

Quiconnect (www.quiconnect.com) is a young venture-backed company operating in the global communications technology services space.  Customers include medium and large mobile and fixed-line telephone operators and ISPs providing mobile broadband IP services to end-users.  Quiconnect currently has offices in the UK (London), France (Grenoble) and the US (San Diego), and will be opening an Asian office.

Quiconnect seeks a Product Manager to join our marketing team in London, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, New Products.

Your primary focus will be supporting the development of new product and service offerings by generating requirements and working with the development team to deliver these to defined schedules. Your solid grasp of technology will ensure you are comfortable working at a detailed level but the same time, you are also keenly interested in marketing so you will want to broaden your skills by getting involved with managing the existing product set. 

You have:

• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience; international experience a plus
• A university degree - preferably in technology or business
• Fluency in English, but may also speak other language(s)
• Experience in wireless data, web or telco
• Demonstrated competence in product development/management
• Tenacity and a high level of attention to detail
• A high level of drive and self-motivation, with excellent cross functional interaction skills and the confidence to present alternative views
• A strong interest in products and a commitment to creating technology solutions which solve business problems and create real value for the company and its customers

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Take direction on requirements from the Senior Manager, or others requesting new features, and produce high-level specifications for development of these features
• Work with the development team to provide clarification and direction and monitor and test their output against requirements, within an agile development process using Extreme Programming methods
• Generate and maintain a range of product documentation to assist in the development and management of products
• Produce a range of marketing materials relating to the company’s products and services to support the sales and marketing process
• Support the company’s sales and partnership activities by getting involved in external customer trials
• Support the Senior Manager and marketing team with a range of tasks relating to management of the company’s products and services
