Quiconnect presents at the WiFi/VoWiFi Planet Event, Baltimore US

The WiFi/VoWiFi Planet Conference & Expo took place in Baltimore USA from June 14 - 16.  It is the world's largest WiFi/VoWiFi business event and showcases the latest industry applications and technologies.

David Anderson, Quiconnect's Director of Technology Development, took part on the second day speaking on International Roaming Access Protocols (IRAP). He focused on how IRAP aims to remove technical barriers to public WLAN roaming and discussed the barriers that exist today.   David also talked about the security and privacy issues associated with using other networks. He concluded that while IRAP adoption will increase technical coherence and industry effectiveness, a lengthy transition to IRAP should be expected.

Fellow speakers included Dan Dahle, Senior Strategic Architect, Corporate Technology Intel; Greg Hayes, Director Mobile Services, BT Infonet; and Mike Moore, Senior Director of Business Development, iPass.
