Quiconnect CTO speaks at the Wireless VoIP Executive Summit, San Jose US
Larry Baltz, Quiconnect CTO, spoke today on two panels at the WVoIP Executive Summit in San Jose US. Organised by Fierce Markets, this is the first executive summit dedicated to the fast emerging field of wireless VoIP. It brings together the world's leading telecom, wireless and VoIP technology leaders to discuss key topics in this emerging industry.
Larry first spoke on the "Wireless VoIP Security" panel, where he discussed topics such as the demands of corporate IT departments for their employees to use WVoIP at public hotspots and if corporations will look to external suppliers such as mobile phone operators to supply WVoIP publicly to employees.
On his second panel, "Delivering High Quality WVoIP", Larry spoke about a range of items including what the specific quality of service concerns are for using WVoIP devices in the public WLAN space and if WVoIP can be expected to offer the same quality user experience as traditional mobile phones.
Overall, the event demonstrates ways to utilise WVoIP to achieve new cost savings, efficiencies and other business goals. More generally it recommends how to adjust business strategies to leverage the growing impact of WVoIP technology. The content was put together by Stephen Wellman, editor of Fierce Wireless, working alongside many wireless VoIP and enterprise executives.
